Most academic disciplines and career areas can be explored through a Network school program.

For example, during the school year (2003-2004), 55 students and 2 teachers traveled within the Network to gain valuable life experiences away from home. From 1997-2003, some Network exchange students joined the mulicultural leadership program at the York schools in Toronto while others explored science careers in San Francisco, California, New Bedford, Massachusetts, and Mishawaka, Indiana. Other students have participated in wilderness studies and whitewater rafting in Colorado Springs, learned about Puerto Rican culture in San Juan, Puerto Rico, or worked in an anthropological forensics laboratory at the University of Tennessee.
